Can someone help me identify this part, of a XC60 cooling system?

Default Can someone help me identify this part, of a XC60 cooling system?

Hello

My 2015 XC60 is leaking coolant. I managed to trace it to this part, shown in the photos.

It is a brown plastic "pipe" that delivers (or receives) coolant to the engine block.

There is a sensor or control that plugs into the top of it.

I will probably have the dealer fix it, but I would love to at least be able to call it by its correct name.

Many thanks in advance, eamonn

The black plastic pipe looks like the air bleeder hose that connects to the top of the coolant reservoir. The brown plastic part might be a 31338581

Many thanks. The part 31338581 does look visually near identical.
The part is only $40 online. I am tempted to buy it and try replacing it myself

Again, many many thanks for this lead

Parts department would want your VIN to make sure that was the correct part - and Tasca wants 27.50 for it (they always have good prices - and no I have no connection to them)

Thanks, will send VIN with order. With a little more research (based on your info), I am now 99.9% certain that this is the right part

Hello,

Did you ever replace the part (31338581)? How did it go? I have same issue. I think all the connections look straight forward quick connects except the one going to the right (when looking at it from front of car). In your picture, the silver band just to the right of the part has no clip or tightening mechanism. I assume it slide in and out easily? Also, does this release a lot of coolant? I could see that going either way. Any input or tips are greatly appreciated.

Hello.
If you want the part, I have a spare new part that I will send you for free. Send me your address (eamonn[at]cs.ucr.edu)

In principle, it is a "squeeze and push on", tool free install.

However, the part is surrounded by other bits and pieces, I could not get my fingers on the part to squeeze hard enough to release the old part
I did not want to do any disassembly of other parts, so had the dealer do it.

Hy Eamonn,

Mighty nice of you to offer, I appreciate it. I don't mind getting the piece locally from Volvo their price it within a couple dollars of Tasco ($30). I'll go pick one up. I just saw that one odd clamp and wondered if it caused you issues. I'll remove the Airbox to give me more room to do the switch out.

That clamp/band is just an unusual one. I'll post how it goes.

Thanks again!
