Doing A Cold Air intake on a T8 xc60, Do88/gruppeM/MST. Which one and who's done one
Looking to do an intake on my 2021 xc60 T8 polestar engineered. Was looking at doing the do88 or mst one. Wanting to knows who has done one, hows the sound, throttle response, ambiant air temp, etc. Not alot of info on these and I do want to do intake for some supercharger/turbo sound.
The car already has a CAI, spending a few hundred dollars for sound is useless imo. Just throw a high flow air filter in there, like a K&N, and you'll do the same thing as installing an aftermarket intake.

waste of money IMHO. No HP gain for a stock engine and you bypass the winter preheat etc. In fact some let in MORE heat than the stock airbox. I'd also avoid K&N filters for two reasons 1) oil from the filter may reach the MAF (no bueno) 2) paper filters are plenty cheap and get the job done.
Fair enough, I have heard of the oil issues from the filters, esp when people over oil them. I currently have a lifetime high flow air filter ( oil-less) from IPD in my P2 S60 and havent had any issues nor noticed any solids getting through, but they don't make them for the newer cars I dont think. I did mine strictly for the Turbo (insert Ed Bassmaster here) Pshhh lol
