I need some help 2015 xc60 uk. the usb socket isn't working ,I tried to update the sat nav and it doesn't see a usb nor will it charge a phone when plugged in. also the little black plastic thing that surrounds the brass fingers has come out.

You absolutely sure it's the USB port?

Have you tried to looking at the fuse to see if it is blown?

Also, buy some CRC electronics cleaner and clean the area well.

You might just need a 30775252 socket. It will go in from the back or the bottom of the console.

You said it was physically broken, and does any usb device have a fuse?

You take the console apart to get the old one out and the new one in. If you don't have the proper tools or skills you might want to get a garage to do it for you.

Thank you "hoonk". Your instructions and pictures did the trick. Don't really need to take out the bracket screws. Can get to the usb socket easy enough. The volvo part was $51 bucks ugh, but fit just fine.

I know it's a bit late, but are there any words in VIDA about this? I've got a tool like the one shown, but it's nit obvious what's supposed to happen. I've slid it in as shown in the first picture and met some resistance, but I'm not sure how it's clipped in and don't want to break something.

Cheers
