Default Open driver door and radio/infotainment turns on

New Volvo XC60 (2026-B5+) owner (and new to Volvo) and am frustrated that when I open driver door just to put something in the car (I don’t get in), the radio/infotainment turns on and stays on after closing door. My solution now is to start car and shut it off. What am I missing here? Is there a setting I can disable?

Had the same problem. Discovered that if I left my phone away from the car, everything is ok. It is very annoying

I think I'm doing the same thing as you, but just to be clear: I have a 2022 XC60 so maybe it's different in the 2026 models, but as long as I turn off the audio when I leave the car by pressing the center of the physical volume **** (with play/pause symbols), then audio doesn't start back when I come back later and open the door. I don't think I've ever had to start the car to turn off the audio, but it might depend on the audio source? I tend to listen to music from my phone via Bluetooth.

Regardless, it's the only solution I'm aware of.

I had the same issue for the the same car, only model year 2025 and I waited by the car for a few minutes, and then I locked the car. The infotainment system then turns off. I took my car to the dealer this morning for another issues and I mentioned this to the service rep and he stated that the infotainment system should shut off automatically after 5 minutes. Maybe I'll give that a try later.

Tried this last night and waited more than 5 minutes. Screen didn't turn off.
