Radiator fan will not turn off
Just got this issue on my 2010 xc60, and read your post for a possible fix. Is this control module similar to the one you used? And is this (in the picture) the place where the module is installed (from this youtube video)?
Thank you!
Thank you!
Changed the controller module and it seems to be OK now.
I was having the same issue, I turned the car off and the fan would continue to run, it ran for 6 hours. I finally disconnected the battery. The next day i reconnected the battery and took it to Southern Auto, on Broad St in Phila PA. (After reading all your posts i thought for sure I was going to have to take it to the import place)
John from Southern auto was able to replace the modular the part cost 178.00 labor was 85.00 I paid a total of 263.00 dollars to get it fixed.
I was so happy I did not have to go to Cherry Hill Volvo, that's my dealer every time I go there even for an oil change they always tell me something is wrong and they want 2 or 3,000 to fix it . (No joke) I never go there and never will again if in PA or NJ and need a specialist I go to Tim, at Pro Imports, Haddon Ave, Collingswood NJ.
the last time Volvo told me I needed all this stuff fix and it was going to cost 3,000 I took it to Pro Imports. (Keep in mind the car only had 60,000 miles on it). after s/w Tim he told me none of what Volvo said needed to be fix was broke but I did need and arm. It cost me 600.00. Hope this helps.
