Hello all. How do I set up the heater with the remote start via the app? I can start the car but the heater stays off. It would be nice to get into a warmed up vehicle in this cold weather.

Do you use the automatic climate control function? Or manually turn it off when existing the car?

From my understanding if the climate control is set to auto, when the car is remote started it will heat or cool the car to 72 degrees. It works every time on both my cars (2015, 2020) - and I always use the Automatic settings.

Mine are set to warm the seat (drivers) and steering wheel also if the temp is below 50 degrees.

 

Thank you for the prompt response. I do not turn off my automatic climate control. This is my first Volvo as I have 9 Subarus in the past and remote starting the vehicle will automatically keep the seat and cabin warm.
Is there a setting on the Sensus to perform these duties? I couldn't find them.

 

Yes - pull the screen down from the middle - profile, owners manual are on the top of the page - left corner is settings - under that in the climate section you will find seat warmer, defrost and steering wheel heat auto on when first started settings. On my 2020 I guess those transferred over as they come on when I use the app to remote start the car, if it's cold enough outside. Maybe I stored them to my key/profile at one point also -

 

Somehow it fixed itself. I did not have to do anything different.
