Default Software update: Do I have to go to the Dealership?

Trying to install the update (message on screen it was ready), it says I need to get the car serviced first. Why? Anyone experience this and is there something I can do at home -- still so mad with the dealer for telling me it had CarPlay on it and then after getting my check saying "it's coming in an update" that I really want to avoid them....

Reset to factory or something?

Question New 2022 XC60 recharge glitches

Update:
Let us know what you hear about the update
I got this email from Volvo a week or so ago: see attachment below (I tried to copy and paste, but was not able to)

Today I turned the radio on and could not turn it off. I could play Tunein radio and stream my iPhone via bluetooth at the same time, but could not turn off the radio - gremlins. I found a setting in the settings submenu that allowed me to force reset the radio - there were warnings not to do so, but seems to have fixed the "stereo" music problem (Noise from to unrelated sources)
