We just purchased our 2024 XC60 Recharge and started to see this issue. The “speed limitation”, setting associated the care key appeared in our car right after the latest software update. We can’t change the setting or turn off this message. Anyone else experience this problem? We tried deleting our profiles and added them back again. No help.

We did. I have the Admin Key and my wife has the Orange key. When the admin key is in the cup holder area, I can change the care key settings. When I turn it off and my wife gets back in the car she gets the same message, Speed Limitation Care Key in use. I am reading in some website that you can take the key to the dealership and they can reprogram the care key to a normal key. Have you heard of this?

 

Yes the dealer can re-program the Care key to be a regular key at no charge. There is a TJ bulletin for this.

 

Have this same exact problem, but oddly enough I had if after I downloaded the new up date, but DID NOT install yet. After installation of the update I still have it. I just hit "Okay" and it takes care of it.

 

Thanks Countryguy. I found TJ35978.1.0 titled Convert Care Key to standard key. Will be calling the dealer ship tomorrow.

 

Since the latest update I have had the same problem also. When my wife is in the car with me and she has the orange key, I get the message. But the profile in the car is correct...attached to my black key. This happens every time the orange key is in the car regardless.
