Srs service light on
HI All, hope everyone is well and safe.
My wifes srs service light came on today, i think its due to low voltage on battery as its reading 12.4 and the low voltage warning has popped in a few times lately.
I was wondering if i replace the battery myself will this fault disapear on its own or will i need it cleared at a dealers?
Thanks in advance .

Yes you can replace the battery on your own and no the codes won't disappear after removing/installing a new battery. You don't need a dealer to clear the codes, you just need access to an OBD2 code reader capable of scanning SRS codes. Check with Autozone etc to see if they rent/loan OBD2 scanners capable of reading the SRS code set.
