Have 2020 xc60. Apology in advance for this post but need information. Followed all manual instructions to try and read oil level. I am used to a DIP STICK. Car had been running, turned off but no reading, I am missing a step but have no clue what that is. I am a computer "dummy" so to speak.
Took delivery of car via OSD trucked to us so missed out on dealer computer class, Gonna have to do that as neither of us can manage all the screens. Thanks for your input. Love the car but not used to computer functions.

owners manual says :
Viewing oil level in the center display The oil level can be viewed using the electronic oil level gauge in the center display once the vehicle has been started. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE 582 1. Open the Car Status app from App view in the center display. 2. Tap Status to display the oil level.
I read this to say the engine should be running when trying to read the oil level. Also the manual says the car should be on level ground for at least 5 minutes or it may show "data not available".
If you can't get it to display, is there a dealership nearby to visit? I'm sure they'll help, particularly if they want to get your maintenance business. Shouldn't matter where/how you bought the car.
