I have a 2015.5 Volvo XC60 T6 R Design, Just Got a Low Beam Malfunction today and cant seem to find anyone with the same issue online. It pops up on my Gauge Cluster saying there is a malfunction for the headlights along with my right low beam going out for the period of the malfunction error. it either corrects itself or i have to flip the lights off and on and it will work fine. its starting to happen more and more often, about every 30 seconds or so.
If you have HID bulbs part of that system is failing - either the bulb or the ballast - I would swap parts side to side to determine what is bad. (the ballast is a $150 part aftermarket) If you have h11 halogen bulbs - a melted connection at the bulb is common.
I am having a low-beam lighting issue with my 2015.5 XC60 T6. Everything worked great, and last night, we went out to meet friends and I got a warning that the Headlamps don't work. The high beams and fog lamps work just fine, but the low beams don't. Also, unsure if it's related, but now, when I turn the car off, there's this not-very loud buzzing hum from the engine. It almost sounds like it's coming from the alternator, but hard to discern where exactly. I don't have, that I know of, a headlight leveler. I pulled the 10 amp fuse out of the 16 fuse slot listed in the manual, but nothing has changed.
