Next available appointment with my dealer is March 15🤦🏼‍♀️

when should you leave the car and lock the doors if you do home button+front defrost button? I did it, waited for “volvo” logo on the screen, the screen then went back to normal (still no gps connection). After that I stopped the car, left t it and locked the doors. Is that right?

I’m planning a family trip in the begging of the next month and really cant’s do it with the maps being off.
I did that routine. Hold button for 60 seconds , lock car and leave alone for an hour. I did it twice. Two days later it resolved itself. I then took it to the dealer to update the operating system. No problems so far this week.

thank you! I’ve done it 2 times. No changes so far. Hopefully the problem will resolve by itself.

what happens after 60 seconds, after you stop holding the defrost button? In my car it looks like the defrost actually starts. I then stop the car (engine) and lock the doors

Just Hold Home and defrost button at same time until logo appears. This did it for me. No unlocking or anything else. Could also try Home button until logo appears then defrost and home. Good luck.

Stand on your head, hold your breath, than light a match and hold it while reciting the Greel alphabet three times.

Default GPS Reset

In for service and Volvo updated while it was there. Noticed GPS wasn’t working next day…always showed car at Home. With car off, pressed and held front defrost (windshield)
button for 30 seconds and it’s good to go. 2022 XC 60 T8

I am finding this forum useful, lost all sounds a while ago and now lost map display in central console and driver display. Not good for a new car! Will try above tip.

Today I had the "searching for GPS" message. The home button reset fixed that, sort of. No longer searching for GPS but the map showed my car's location in my driveway even after I drove off for a mile or so. Volvo help said do the reset again. That got things back to normal. I don't know it doing it twice is the secret or if it just sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.

Yesterday I installed the 2.12 software. I don't know if this is relevant.
