Default XC60 Headlamp washers stuck out

Hi All
Just joined Volvo Forums so hope someone can help.
I have a late 2017 registered XC60 D4 Auto.
The headlamp washers work fine BUT recently they now both stay sticking out and don't retract back into the bumper. I have to gently push back each nozzle and then the cover slips back into place. I'm guessing that water pressure makes them push up and extend whilst spraying, but not sure what makes them retract. A spring or a small motor perhaps??

Hope someone can offer some suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

I'm having the same issue, I don't know if they are working, but they stick out after being activated. (New XC60 2022 Plugin Extended Range).

Any help??

Default Me too.

I'm having the same issue. Sometimes I'm able to push them back in, sometimes not. I'm going to have Volvo service look at it.

They replaced the washers under warranty for me.

same here in my 2022 Xc60 Polestar, but only the left washing nozzle stays out, the right one retracts back.
as I always say Chinese quality!
