My '90 740 GL gave up the ghost and has been replaced with an '06 XC70. This thing is phenomenal! We're moving and I'm getting a UHaul hitch installed this week. Is there some quick release option for the cover that fits over the hitch location? The XC70 has the parking assist sensors across the top of of the rear cover and it seems like a pain remove each time the hitch is in use. Any help is appreciated.

 

Not sure what you mean. I have the standard volvo hitch and it sits beneath the bumper trim. Nothing to remove andit works great with my parking sensors. I can't imagine that the u-haul unit is any different.

 

Probably a misremembered photo then. I thought I had seen somewhere that the hitch sits behind the trim plate, rather than below. Thanks.
