I am new to volvo's (and turbo) and think the turbo may not be working. I commute on highways nearly an hour every day and have yet to feel it kick in. Also, I have never heard the fabled turbo whistle and couldn't describe if I had to...

Does this mean my turbo is shot? my car drives just fine, accelerates fine off the line, and doesn't seem sluggish... but if the turbo isn't working i'd like to know.

I've had the car for around 6 months and hope I didn't buy one with a shot turbo.

Is the turbo on a 2000 xc70 even audible????

I hope I'm worrying about nothing...
