Alright Boys - here's the two deals:

2001 XC - 92,000 miles w/ third seat and all the other bells (is the sips and roof curtain standard - not sure?) (don't know much about this one - current owner has had it for 2 years and 30,000 miles - kept in a garage! ...$10,500
or
2002 XC - High Mileage - 120,000 miles - without third seat but with all the sips and roof curtain bags (timing belt not done but it is a one owner deal they just seemed to fall down on keeping the service up to date - like they did the 60,000 service at 84,000 miles - most of the service seemed to be done at the dealer - could they really have paid $592 to fix the electric seat button and $350 to reinstall some software?) ....$9200

Are there any real differences in these two model years? Is the first production year of a new car more buggy? What do we think?

I have an 01 xc70 that has been trouble free.The first year of any new model car generally has more bugs to work out.I would generally pick the car with the best maintenance history,everything else being equal.My 01 has sips and curtains so I assume they all did.Not much difference between 01 and 02 otherwise.We love our xc70.BJ
