2001 XC70 needs front and rear brakes

2001 XC70 needs front and rear brakes
Just wondering how much it will cost me to replace front and rear brake pads, calipers and rotors?
Dealer quoted me $800 for rear and $600 for front which I think is a lot.
If I can get the parts and go to an independent volvo garage in Ottawa that would be great.
I'm open to any suggestions, thanks ver much.
