Default 2003 XC70 fuel canister and Mis firing cylinders

I have a 2003 XC70 and the check engine light cam on yesterday and the accelerator started to become jumpy. It was as if it was struggling to move and accelerate.

I found a shop that was open and they plugged it in. It came back with 3 codes.

One was regarding the fuel canister. Everything I have searched talks about fuel filters. What is the difference? The mechanic said that it could be dumpng fuel into the engine which could cause major problems.

The other 2 codes are for 2 cylinders mis firing. What do i do about that?

Thanks.

Eric

I ended up finding out that the 2003 XC70 was possibly under recall for a fuel pump. I then took it to the dealership and they looked at it and it turned out that the fuel pump was recalled so they replaced that free of charge.

Regarding the cylinder miss fires. They said that two of my coils were bad and the other 3 were in rough condition. I ended up replacing all 5 and the spark plugs.

Car is now running very well.
