I was told that the VOR edition was limited production and only came in a distinct blue exterior. I have seen a 2006 wagon recently advertised as a VOR edition, but it is silver. A friend stated that the VIN would indicate if its VOR. Can anyone shed any light on this form me?

I haven't seen any in other colors other than ocean race blue. So I'm assuming they only come in that color.

 

They only came in blue. The VIN won't tell you anything unless you call the dealer so they can check all the options that car came with.

 

The Ocean Race edition came in several other colors over the years, and there are other blue XC70s, but that distinctive shade of blue is unique to the VOR edition. In a 2006, the easiest way to tell is to look behind the front seat headrests. It has twin DVD players. It also has orange carpets and several other features. Google "xc70 ocean race".

 

I'm pretty sure they only came in Ocean Race Blue and it was just in 06.

The P3 was blue as well. Now I think they are making one this year with 4 colors available.

They were not available "in several other colors over the years" as you said. It was just blue. And just 06.
