I just noticed that my temp gauge is constantly sitting at zero regardless of whether the car has been running or not (or for however long). The check engine light is not on and everything seems to be running ok except that the cooling fan runs constantly (even in the morning when I first start the car). Car has 60k miles and I have scheduled maintenance but I'm concerned abouot driving the car since I don't know what the true coolant temp is... any thoughths?

Update

Evidently this is a known issue at Volvo and is fixed with a software update... I'll know more on Monday when I bring it in for servicing...

 

Another update

Got into car this morning and the gauge is working fine and the fan comes on as needed.... strange problem. Still going to bring it in to Volvo...
