Default Climate control problems

Hello, I have a 2006 XC70 and it seems that the climate control fan is stuck on high. I can turn the ac on and off, change the orientation of the blow, but I can't turn the fan down from high. Even when the key is removed from the ignition the climate fan continues to run for an undetermined amount of time.

The climate module might have gone bad.
One thing you can try which might and might not work is disconnect the battery. Then tie the positive and negative cables together for like 5 minutes. Then reconnect the battery and see if that fixes it.

Anybody think that the blower resistor might be the problem? I have heard that a couple of times. I have not tried the battery terminals solution yet.
