Default Brake lights and headlights connected?

2007 XC70 - I recently replaced a faulty driver's side brake light socket. While in there, I also took out the driver's side rear turn signal socket and put it back without replacing it. The turn signal began malfunctioning so I adjusted it and both the brake light and turn signal now function just fine. A day after this, my driver's side headlight began malfunctioning. It is not completely burned out, as it still flickers, which suggests to me it is a wiring/connection issue as opposed to the bulb. Could these things be related?

14 year old Volvos have bulb problems due to old age.

2007 has either a h11 with a melted connector at the bulb or an HID bulb, with either a bad connection, bad bulb, or erratic ballast.

Update: left rear turn signal goes out intermittently and left headlight reports as failed but is flickering. Feels like too much of a coincidence.

They are not connected. Deal with each as a separate problem.
