2003 XC70 not starting, after a few tries I get the "Immobilizer See Manual" message. I'm hoping it is the starter but have no idea how to check if I have any loose connections or if the starter is bad. I'm 50 miles from a dealership and regret to say I don't have the extra $ right now to spend on the dealership replacing things that don't fix the problem.
Any assistance you could lend this novice would be greatly appreciated.
