So...l am stumped. I have a 2002 XC70 (or as I have been told a late model 01, manufactored 10/01, and have been told it is a V70 with the XC option). I am not sure if that is needed to have my question answered, figured I would give the "long" story My rearview mirror is attached to my courtesy lamp area, that also has my runroof controls. My mirror was hit, the plastic piece that goes over the sunroof controls and covers where the mirror attaches to the unit popped off and caused my mirror to come out of clamps that hold it in. I can get the plastic piece back in, all pieces are intact, but I can not get my mirror to "click" back into place. I have tried to place it in then put the plastic cover over it, but the mirror is heavy and casues that plastic molding to pop back off. Does anyone know how I can reatach the mirror portion of this system? At this point the mirror is hanging by the wires because I can't even figure out how to unplug it. Please HELP!!! I miss my mirror, as I use it soooooo much. Thanks
