Hi guys,
2008 XC70 121K miles
I have no heat and restricted air flow. The blower motor is full on but the air flow is restricted. A "blend door" problem maybe.
The thermostat has been replaced several thousand miles ago. Can I gain access to the blend door by removing the console?
Any other ideas would surely be welcome.

Not really - your first step should involve a compatible scan tool. First for any codes in or related to the CCM, see what the actual and wanted damper motor positions were, then to test and manually activate components, then perhaps to calibrate them after replacement. Note majority of the servo motors are mounted to #30., #3 is for the passenger side. A blend door blends the hot air into the cold air stream - it does not block the flow of air - and there are 2 of them - for left and right.
The only parts I've replaced (other than cabin filters) on these units is #8 the heater fan resister. It's mounted above and behind the gas pedal and is not easy to get to.
