Secondary Air Inj. (P410) code
ok so i got this code p410 and it is the secondary air injection malfunction code, any ideas? the air inj. pump works fine, the check engine came on while i was driving at a steady 45 mph , there is a valve that controls air into the pump, but is this item able to be cleaned, or do i have to replace it, also is it more typical of a switch to go bad, the vacuum switch that sends out electrical signal telling the computer diagnostics.

The metal valve on the back of the head might be clogged if it has one.
Are you sure the pump works?
It only comes on for about 30 to 60 seconds when the car is fully cold. After sitting over night or all day.

Yes the pump will sound kind of like a hair dryer.
If it is eaven working. Most of the time they will fill with water and short out.
Sometimes cleaning the valve will work other times they need to be replaced.
