Thinking of buying 2002 XC70 with 85,000 miles
I am considering buying from a private seller a 2002 XC70 with 85,000 miles. I do not really need the AWD or the turbo engine, but this might be an opportunity to get a good, local deal.
Until recently,I have driven a 1987 240 DL wagon and loved it. My concern about the XC is reliability and repair costs. I noted that consumer reports does not support the reliability of the XC 70, especially before 2002 and with the exception of the models 04 and later.
Does anyone have advice about this purchase? Reflections on reliability and repair costs? Items I should be especially careful about in examining the car? Specific questions I should ask of the seller?
