I am having a huge problem with my 1999 Volvo XC V70. I just bought it a couple weeks ago and three days later it broke down. It will not drive when in Reverse, Drive, 3 or L. I am so confused as to what is going on. It will drive for a bit, and then after I come to a stop, sometimes it will not go. The person I bought it from said that the Revese was replaced and I really don't know if I can believe anything he says. Hopefully someone can help me. The fluids look good. I ended up just towing it back home and it is sitting in my garage.

 

Sounds like the transmission is gone.
