My girlfriend just bought a 2001 Volvo V70XC Cross Country. I think it has the 2.4 turbo. We have noticed that on the highway, if we want to pass someone by stomping on the gas, the car doesn't seem to want to go. It doesn't seem like it wants to shift so it can accelerate, and instead accelerates very slowly in the gear that it's in. Is this common? I thought since it was a turbo it might have quite a bit more pickup.
