2004 XC70, memory/heated side mirror, a tree near my driveway came out and did it.Mirror is broken, Housing seems pushed up about 1/2 inch from normal position. Dealer wants me to buy entire unit for $500+. Anyone have a diagram to show how it comes apart? I am willing to buy the mirror piece at $63 but I hate to fork all that money over for housing and motor too.

 

If you want to remove the entire Assembly to inspect you will need to remove the door panel.

If you just want to remove the Mirror Glass you have to like turn the glass in all the way. You will see where the mirror Glass meets the motor with a small screwdriver pop it apart.
