I am crashing through potholes here in Michigan with only 52k miles on car. I would like to upgrade struts and tires. Does anybody know if I can go up a tire size from 235/50R18 to 235/55R18?

Does anybody know a good strut that is stronger than stock?

 

the tire will fit but there is approximately a 3% difference in circumference which will show in your speedo (true 60 mph will show as 58 and 100 miles will record as 97.)

Stronger strut as in physically stronger or firmer? Firmer you can check into Bilstein or Koni premium models but I don't think that's where you want to go. What I would do is add 3 PSIs to your tire pressure and keep stock.
