We are looking at buying a 2002 XC70 from a dealer , We had the car for about three days here in Maryland last week, it was in the high 80s and 90s. The back vents put out pretty good airflow however we noticed that it was not as cool as it should be. Also the front with floor only selected did not get really cold like our c220 and c240 mercedes do in the same climate. I had the dealer check and they could not find any leaks in the system however they said that they added freon the next day and the front and back vents are now within a degree of each other at the vent in the front 42 out and in the back 43 out. I asked the if there is no leak in the system then why did you have to put more freon in. Of course I was speaking with a rep, and not the mechanics so she had nop answer. We love the car and all the features however having a young child in the back that sweats while in the car seat may keep us from getting the vehicle. I was wondering if an oring may be bad in the line or compressor. Do any of you have knlowedge of this year and model having similar problems with the air. I just dont want to have to get it refilled every year in the summer. Thanks
