Default ~~"Wonk" noise from the front driverside suspension area/Brakes? Help~~

We recently bought a 2005 XC90 with 40K on it & after buying it.......backing up and/or slowly turning the wheel it makes a 'wonk' noise from the driver side area in the suspension (?). We had the place that we bought it (CARMAX) check it out while still under their 30 FULL Coverage warranty and they could find ANYTHING wrong with it. Is sounded like a bushing or maybe the driver side brake, but it is when rolling backwards and not when pushing on the brakes. Could it be the brake cylinder releasing itself after being parked? Also, it is sorta' cold here in the mid-west.....but, not FREEZING when it happens.

Thanks for any help, I dropping the car off at CARMAX again on Thursday (tomorrow) and I figured that you guys could help me give them some info of what is wrong with it.

Chris

Oh yea, we did have the 'tranny' go out while the wife was 400 miles away with our 2 year old son in the car and it was out of the 30 day warranty & THANK GOODNESS we bought the "MaxCare" from CARMAX.......it was $5800 for a new tranny and we only had to pay 3 bills for the deductible.....Oh well.
