Default Driverside wiper travel

Am new to the forum, I did a quick search for other posts in the XC70 forum for this issue and found none.

Is there any way to adjust the travel of the driverside windshield wiper, it makes a sound like it is slapping the trim but it doesn't hit. When I short stop its travel it doesn't bang.

Thanks in advance.

There is a nut holding the arm onto the wiper transmission. You can loosen the nut and adjust the arm.

Good luck, I took the nut off and soaked the rod with WD40 and I could not get mine to move. I would end up breaking it if I tried to move it. It really feels like something else is holding it on the transmission.

Did you push down on the arm? That usually breaks it loose.

Not per say but I will try it again, It was really stuck and I couldn't budge it. I will try pushing down on the arm.
