08 XC90 Replaced Alternator now P0105 MAP Sensor failure
Hello all,
Over the weekend my alternator died and I had to replace it. a few hours after I picked it up I got the check engine light on. It was error code P0105 for the MAP sensor. I was giving it a few days to see if the check engine light went away in case this error was related to the alternator but it's still on.
Any ideas why this happened? it's supposed to be an easy fix but I can't find the sensor in the engine.
Any tips about this and any help with the location of the sensor will be greatly appreciated.

did you clear the code with a scanner or just wait to see if it reset on its own? You are correct in assuming that voltage irregularities can set off odd CEL codes so the best thing to do is to use an OBD2 code reader to clear the code and see if it resets. If it resets you can then look at replacing the MAP sensor. Also, which engine do you have?? (note some models like the s40 actually have two MAP sensors).
Assuming you have the 3.2L, this picture should help
