2004 XC90 A/C not cold when idling
Hi all -
The A/C is nice and cold when the engine is revved, or while driving about, but not so cold when the engine is just idling. It's as if the compressor clutch is disengaging when the engine is idling.
My mechanic checked the refrigerant level, and all is OK.
Any ideas on what to check?
Thanks!

1 - my A/C damper doors needed to be re-calibrated. This was causing uneven temperatures to blow from the drivers side to the passenger side. Only the dealer can do this, an they charged me $140.
2 - my refrigerant was low. My mechanic said the only way to see if your refrigerant is low is to do a full A/C evac. My non-dealer mechanic was able to do the A/C evac for $90.
Problem is now solved. Not sure about your compressor, though. Does your air blow cold at all, or only at times?
