Hi! Brand new. I have a 2005 xc90 turbo with 300,000 miles. How long will engine go for? Great car till the past year or so. Need to decide if I should upgrade to a new used car or not. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

there's no milestone where an engine suddenly becomes unreliable - much would depend on the car's maintenance history and how it was driven. That said, parts will fail on any older car so you'd need to budget for that. You could have some basic inspection tests done to see what potential cost items may come due - ie test the health of the PCV system, look up when the timing belt is due, do a compression test, note if its consuming oil or (worse) antifreeze. If its your only car and you don't do some of your own maintenance, then that should be considered in your decision to move on.
