I'm in the middle of doing the valve cover gaskets on my 06 xc90 4.4...Overall pretty smooth and straight forward so far. Intake, PS pump and injector/fuel rail are off. 3 of the retaining caps/clips (on the actual injector above the o ring that connects to the fuel rail) broke when I took them out to clean them. I have new o rings but didn't get full rebuild kits....Are the clips something I can get from autozone/oreillys or will I be driving the audi next week until I order parts?

 

So nobody has the retainer piece. Looks like my Allroad is my daily for next week....ordered the parts. At least it'll be super clean by the time it's done.
It will have new valve cover gaskets, hoses, sonic cleaned injectors, plugs, PCV, misc hoses, cam sensor seals.
I was so close to having it all done today. $10 worth of parts is gonna make it a week.

 

Valve cover gaskets are done...Finally got the little retainer pieces today and put it back together in about an hour and a half...Let it warm up to operating temp, no smoke, no gas smell (seems the injectors seated correctly) My only notes are to put the injectors onto the rail and them put the rail and injectors into the intake....I did it vice versa the first attempt. It'll make getting the injector clips on much easier.
