On that engine - you have to loosen the compressor and the power steering pump to get to the belt. While you are there - there will be many other worn out parts - idler bearing, one way clutch for the belt, power steering coupler, tensioner, water pump - that will need to be replaced also. No instructions really needed, it's pretty straightforward - (other than a special tool to get the one way clutch off and on.)
usually there's a sticker under the hood that shows the belt routing but you can probably snap a photo once the accessory covers are out of the way. You can also find vids on Youtube for this.

Here is a diagram. Your XC90 does NOT have a V6, it is an i6. A 3.2L inline six cylinder. #1 is drive clutch #2 is A/C compressor #3 is belt tensioner/pulley #4 is idler pulley #5,6 & 7 is waterpump,power steering pump & coupler.
