2007 XC90 DSTC Snow Issues
Im certain this has been discussed previously but I couldnt find a good answer after searching so, here we are. I have a 2007 XC90 6cyl w/ 70k. Love the car except when it snows. It seems like the traction control system is horrible and there is no way to shut it off. Just last night I was in maybe 1/2" of packed snow on a 20 degree uphill dirt road and the car just WOULD NOT move. The DSTC system seemed to be trying to put power to the correct wheels but it just doesn't work and I cannot find a way to shut it off. Am I missing something? Is this a common complaint? As an FYI - The Volvo has brand new Hakkapeliitta winter tires and I took my A4 on the same "hill" with summer performance tires and had zero issue.
