2010 R-Design 105k miles
Hello all. Just a few questions for you Volvo experts. I am a very avid member on the Bimmerfest.com forum. I know these types of forums can be very helpful. I am thinking about adding an SUV to our family. I really like the XC90. I found a 2010 R-Design with 105k miles. It's at a local Porsche Dealer which is a very respectable Dealer in the DC-Metro area. It's a 2 owner. I checked the maintenance schedule on these and it appears that the timing belt should have been replaced or at least coming close and the spark plugs should have been replaced. Other than that I also see where maybe the ball joints would be close to needing replaced. I'm a freak with changing our fluids every 2 years with our BMW's so I'm sure I would do the same here with this Volvo. They are asking 12,745 for the SUV. I'm going to ask for service records clearly but is there anything else I should be looking out for with the year and model with that mileage? Anything that should make me run away from this thing? Thanks in advance...Justin

There is no timing belt, so no worries there. Plugs were due at 75k. Ball joints are a wear item, not a mileage item. So replace only as needed.
I would probably replace the serpentine belt, idler and tensioner. They are supposed to be good to 150k but I have seen quite a few seize before that.
Vacuum pump leakage is common but a cheap fix. If you own BMWs, you're probably no stranger to oil leaks though.
