Default 2011 XC90 AC Blows hot air

Hello, I have a 2011 XC90 air works some- blows hot /warm air when idle then slowly blows cool air when you drive. Doesn't get real cold though. And it feel like is should be blowing harder like my other vehicles like the blower is missing a gear or higher level.
The Pressure was over 100 at first and my shop blead it down so now closer to 40. I'm looking to replace Condenser Radiator and or compressor but do I need to replace all three? Where's the best place to start. since its 95 here in the south and I need to get something done soon. I don't mind spending a few bucks to get it right but i was hoping to not have to replace the entire system.

You need to find a smarter shop - One that knows about variable displacement compressors. Both the v8 and the I6 engined Volvos have variable displacement compressors. There is a valve on the compressor that changes the angle of the swash plate and therefore the displacement. Those go bad/get clogged and fail to vary the displacement - hence higher pressures on the low side when malfunctioning and low/no cooling. You should never have to "bleed it down" to get the correct pressure unless someone who did not know what they are doing is messing with or messed with your ac. Many other brands of cars have these valves - in fact on some VWs there is no clutch - just a valve to unload the compressor.

Google volvo compressor displacement valve for pictures. Many part numbers - make sure you (or a qualified shop) gets the correct part. The parts page below is for a v8. Easy to replace, evacuate system, (after verification that the part is bad) replace valve (can get to easily on a I6, not sure about the v8) evacuate and recharge the system then drive away happy with cold air. I have replaced many and takes less than a couple of hours total.
