The rear brakes on my 2016 XC 90 are grinding and need to be replaced. I’ve taken it to a local shop and they said that because the rear brakes are electronic, you have to have a special machine to access them. Their machines couldn’t communicate with my SUVs computer so they sent it to a local import shop. Once at the import shop, they attempted to get the car to release the brakes and we’re unsuccessful. Is there a work around that doesn’t involve this specific machine? The Volvo dealership quoted me $700 + for rear brakes and rotors. Anybody have any thoughts. Thanks in advance.
