2016 XC90 R-Design | Continued Squeaking Brakes
We purchased our new 2016 XC90 R-Design in December 2015. Beautiful car that replaced our 2011 XC60 R-Design due to a growing family. This is my wife's car and I think she put 8,000 miles on it in the first year.
Feb 2016
The brakes started to squeak. Called them and said they may need to break in for a bit and to keep driving it. OK, no problem.
May 2016
Took the car in for brake squeak and they replaced the pads. "This is a known issue...but it's all fixed sir." A few weeks late, the squeak returns.
Dec 2016
Back again for brakes squeak. Some new rotors with a new surface. OK great. Guess, what...didn't work.
May 2017
Take the car in again. They have it for 4-5 days now and say there's yet another new version of the pads or rotors. Replaced again.
June 2017
The brakes are squeaking again. I'm at a loss. This is my wife's car and she's in love with it. Only knock is the brakes. Anyone here have this issue and was able to get it resolved? Was it your front or rear? They tell me it's the rear every time. I wish there was another car that she wanted, I'd look into a buy back or lemon-law return.
Any advice/input/suggestions is welcome.

All I'm seeing is rear pads being done 10/13/16 and again 12/4/16 (with the same part number).
If the noise is from the front, there is a bulletin (30934) that applies to your vehicle, to replace front pads.
For the rear, bulletin 31007 applies, for new pads and rotors.

Is there anyway you can share that report with me? Screen grab, PDF, etc? That's definitely NOT what I was told. It would be a real shame if our dissatisfaction is directed at the vehicle...when it should be on a dealer that isn't following the correct service protocol.
To be fair, there is a chance I'm not seeing all the information. There are two places I can go to check warranty history. One doesn't show any claims for brakes for some reason and the other just shows the two pad replacements. It's odd it is showing one in October when you went in May. Sometimes there can be a delay between the job being done and the claim showing up, but that seems very long. So something is certainly strange there and it makes me wonder if the rotors were done but are not showing up. The part number for the pads is correct at least.
I see about a screen shot if it slows down at work later.

I have the same problem on my 2017 xc90 inscription. The dealer replaced brakes/rotors and the problem is still there.
