I had some gas in my portable gas can from the hurricane Mathew. I tried to pour it into the 2017 XC90 gas tank. The tube on the portable gas can doesn't fit. So I insert a piece of soft plastic pipe into it and filled the gas successfully. Now the plastic pipe is stuck there and I couldn't take it out even with fairly large strength.

I know there are two caps there. What kind of mechanism are they? How could I take it out? TIA.

 

I suspect a rotating motion should work it out, with out using large strength. Since it is soft, push the tube to the left (or right) just one direction, and twist it while in that position. it should start to make its own grove, and thread out. (maybe) Good luck
