My mom who is 5' has difficulty getting in and out of the new (to us) Volvo. Our Lexus GX had side steps (running boards) and an overhead handle on the passenger side but the XC90 does not. I looked at the factory running board but the dealer wants $3,000 installed. No thank you! I see some on eBay and Amazon, ranging from $300 to $800. I don't mind installing myself but was wondering if anyone here has installed an aftermarket running board on their XC90. Keep in mind mine is in 2020. I want a direct-fit unit with no welding or modifications.

Yes unfortunately it does look like Volvo wants about twice what Lexus wants for running boards. Some Volvo dealers run internet specials or there are some that offer xx% off list every day.
