My XC90 is due for its 60,000 mile service. I checked with the dealership, and they are quoting me $1060 + taxes. While the service is always high, this seems excessive. Any advice?

 

I think it should be lower but it is the major tune-up service as well.

 

Thanks! I may check around a bit. I've been pretty underwhelmed with the service at the dealership where I purchased my SUV.

 

I was going to suggest shopping around at other Volvo dealerships. Ours seems to have been very good to us so far here in Michigan; our 60,000 interval service was around $600, and that included new plugs and all the bells and whistles. The only thing they did not do is replace the antifreeze. They check it and if it reads okay they leave it. I had called a local Swedish import service place, they were $200 or so more than the dealership!
