Reading I am totally confused: if I order a used abs/brake control module from ebay exact same part number from a 2005 Volvo XC90 2.5l dtsc and awd and install on my 2004 Volvo XC90 2.5l dtsc and awd will I still have to take it in for reprogramming to match my car.
I haven’t been able to find an answer.

Yes it will need to be married to the car,take the old one and get it for repair. A lot cheaper
