Default Anti-Skid Service Required, What is that!!!

My XC90 shows me the Anti-Skid Service Required message, what is that???

I don't found any information in the owner manual. Then before go to the dealer service and pay for an astronomical price, I prefer to ask if I can found DIY information.

in the menu bar select search...select advanced search....in keywords box type "anti skid service required" and under search in forums select xc90. then run the search. you will find many results. there are a few common causes. the only way to know for sure is to have it scanned with volvo specific scan tool at the dealer or you can buy it on eBay for couple hundred bucks. if the problem appears when you park with the wheels turned sharply it is probably the clockspring in the steering wheel.

Default Anti skid service required. YAW SENSOR

the yaw sensor manages the vehicle skid to prevent fish tailing etc on slippery surface. It's usually good for 8 to 10 years. Some are located under the stereo amp which is under the front Right passenger's seat of the xc90 like in the 2004 model.location may vary in other years model.

Default Now is off

Ater change the tires and the aligment and balance service, the anti-skid alarm turns off. Sometimes in the morning it hears like is activated, I'm going to change the sensor in the future.

Did the exact search as you told Rudva and came up with zero search results based on " anti skid service required" and selected xc90. Fyi.
