Automatic door locking
When we bought our 2006 XC 90, the person at the dealer said you could use the radio menu controls and set the vehicle's doors to lock automatically on forward motion of the vehicle. Has anyone done this or know how to do this?

Had the locking feature installed on my '05 XC 90 last year right after I bought it. Costs about $150. Dealer has to download software to get the benefit. Check out this link by copying and pasting to your address line: http://acctest.semcon.se/en-GB/XC90/...VCC-245901.htm .
Doors auto lock at speeds above 3 - 5 mph once the software is installed.

You've got to be kidding! Software downloads may not cost anything after the dealer purchases the software, but the tech's time to do the work is worth something - "time is money". The dealer might give you a discount for "good will", but not one of the three dealers in my area would consider doing it for free. As I have stated in my earlier thread, you would think that this feature would be standard on a premium vehicle.
Good luck!

I just bought a 2007 XC-90, and the automatic locking feature is engaged by simply holding the door lock button down for like 5 seconds. A message comes up on the computer screen that says something to that effect. You turn it off the same way.
